In this activity we make a demonstration of the elaboration of the artisan cheese of Menorca with the traditional system that has been used for over 100 years. The Madonna of Binissuès, dressed in clothes from the last century, explains to visitors the complete process of making artisan cheese from Menorca.
It includes a visit to our houses and museums: manor house, farmhouse, ethnological collection, Museum of Natural Sciences of Menorca, farm with animals and outdoor facilities...
• Manor House: In the Manor House of Binissuès, from the end of the year 1800, you will know how the Salort family spent their spring vacations in the 19th century. What their rooms were like, their games and hobbies, the comforts of their daily life...
• Farmhouse: At the end of the year 1700, the Casa de Payés was the center of life and the organization of the work in the fields of Menorca, as is evident in its distribution, where the home and the kitchen welcome the visitor.
• Ethnological collection: Composed of kitchen utensils, tools and multiple pieces that were essential more than a century ago to live and work in the countryside. You can also see the first car that arrived in Menorca, tools for working the land and handling livestock, everything you need to make typical sausages of the island, a large collection of saddles and many other items more.
Discover this wide collection of antique tools that will surprise you and will make your imagination fly.
