This is undoubtedly the most comprehensive Saona Island excursion. To reach the most remote beaches, we will travel by speedboat, allowing us to reach the spectacular Canto Beach. We will go snorkeling, visit the famous fishing village of Mano Juan, the sea turtle sanctuary where, with a bit of luck, we may see baby loggerhead turtles, green turtles, and the impressive leatherback turtle (turtles are not guaranteed to be seen). We will have lunch under the palm trees on this truly spectacular beach.
We will continue to sail to the famous natural pools, the habitat of giant starfish, and visit the Catuano Channel (where the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea meet). Finally, we will visit the mangroves, an essential ecosystem that hosts a wide variety of wildlife, including turtles, lobsters, various fish species, and small sharks, among others. In the late afternoon, we will return to the town of Bayahibe to take you back to your hotels.
