Starting at 6:30 a.m., we will pick you up at your hotel in Punta Cana and take you to Los Haitises National Park, a karst environment bathed by the waters of the Bay of Samaná.
Upon arrival, we will board a boat to navigate the Caño Hondo River. Be careful with the waters! On the shores we will see red mangrove tangles until we reach San Lorenzo Bay. In the open sea we will observe rocky hummocks inhabited by pelicans and earwigs.
We will continue on the boat until we reach the Arena and La Linea caves, dwellings that were used by the Taino Indians and where we will find indigenous pictograms and petroglyphs.
Next, we will disembark at the Paraíso Caño Hondo Hotel, where we will find beautiful natural pools belonging to the hotel complex. You can take a refreshing swim in these pools of the Jivales River before a traditional Dominican lunch in this idyllic place.
With your batteries recharged, we will climb in a 4×4 vehicle to the top of the Redonda mountain, nestled between two lagoons: Limón and Redonda. From the top, the views of the jungle are an authentic postcard from a fairy tale.
Finally, we will return to your hotel in Punta Cana, where arrival is scheduled between 4:30 and 6:30 pm.
