Between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel in Punta Cana and we will set off to Santo Domingo.
First, we will visit the Los Tres Ojos cave to see the four lakes that are inside: El Azufre, La Nevera, Las Damas and Zaramagullones. Next, we will stop at the Colón lighthouse, a place where the remains of the navigator are said to be found. Afterwards, we will make a brief stop at the Presidential Palace, a large-scale neoclassical architectural complex.
Next, we will enter the historic center of the city to see the Primada de América cathedral, the oldest on the continent, and the Plaza de España, where the Alcázar de Colón, former residence of the admiral, rises. We will have the opportunity to explore the Colonial Zone and learn the most curious facts of the past. You will not stop taking photos!
We will visit an amber workshop to see the process the resin goes through until it becomes a conifer fossil. In addition, we will also see the semi-precious stone Larimar, a specific variety from the Dominican Republic.
After the visit, you will have one hour of free time to buy souvenirs. Finally, we will taste a buffet lunch in which there will be no shortage of rice, meat stews and beans.
With renewed energy we will return to your hotel, where the arrival is scheduled between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
