We start our journey towards the Cuber and Gorg Blau reservoirs in the Serra de Tramuntana. The reservoirs are located at the foot of Mallorca's highest mountain, Puig Major (1445 m). Winding along the narrow road of the Serra de Tramuntana, we will reach the Sa Calobra Road, situated at an altitude of over 800m, famous for its well-known "Nus de Sa Corbata" (Tie Knot). At the end of the road, we will arrive at Sa Calobra beach and the mouth of the Torrent de Pareis, forming an imposing marvel of nature, where we will have 2 hours free to eat and explore the surrounding area.
We will embark on a cruise to the Port of Sóller, sailing along the north coast of the island and admiring the maritime cliff of the Sierra de Tramuntana (classified as a World Heritage Site). From the port of Sóller, we will take the iconic wooden tram to the town of Sóller, where we are greeted by its bustling streets and famous modernist buildings such as the Church of San Bartolomé or the old Bank. From the town center, we will begin the return route with a centennial train that preserves its original aesthetics and continues to travel the old tracks through the Sierra de Alfabia. Its carefully pampered wooden carriages transport us with a gentle rocking back in time to 1912, when it was inaugurated. The train is characterized by being a narrow-gauge railway, uncommon nowadays, and by presenting a very varied collection of antique rolling stock, with a detailed and artisanal maintenance. Tunnels, rugged mountains, lush forests, and magnificent landscapes make it an unforgettable journey.
