Palma - Inca - Sa Calobra - Puerto de Sóller - Sóller - Palma
We start the tour with a visit to a famous Inca leather shop, a city located in the heart of Mallorca and known for its fur and footwear industry. Winding the narrow road of Lluc we reach the beach of Sa Calobra and the mouth of the Torrent de Pareis, which make up this imposing whim of nature. We are located on a peculiar beach surrounded by large steep mountains and, in the background, the turquoise blue of the sea, a setting that conquers visitors and local people. The Torrente de Pareis, the main protagonist of this creation of nature, is habitat of different species of animals and local vegetation that give it an incalculable environmental value.
In Sa Calobra, we will embark on a cruise to the Port of Sóller, sailing along the north coast of the island and observing the maritime ledge of the Sierra de Tramuntana (listed a World Heritage Site) which offers spectacular views of nature in its purest form.
Once on land, you can admire the port of Sóller promenade, a natural port surrounded by spectacular mountains. A historic enclave coveted in antiquity by privateers and pirates due to the location of Mallorca on the Mediterranean Sea.
The Sóller Valley offers mixed perfumes of orange blossom and citrus, idyllic landscapes and a rich maritime history that we can get to know on this train journey. From the same port, we will take the emblematic wooden tram to the village of Sóller where we are welcomed by its bustling streets and famous modernist buildings such as its Church of St. Bartholomew or the old Bank of Sóller. Sóller, known as the cradle of modernism, has an extensive history between its streets and buildings. The old houses and stately palaces of colonial style tell us how in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, The Mallorcan merchants made their fortune with the trade of oranges in France and how King Alfonso XIII proclaimed the town of Sóller in city and commercial and cultural center of the area.
From the very center, we will start the return route with the classic train from Sóller to Palma. Its wooden carriages, pampered with care, transport us with their gentle rattling in time to 1912 when it was inaugurated. The train is characterized by being a narrow-gauge railway, rare today and presenting a very varied antique mobile material, detailed character and artisanal maintenance
