We will begin the excursion to Caminito del Rey with a bus journey through Malaga and the Costa del Sol towards Ardales, where we will make a brief stop for breakfast (breakfast not included) before continuing to the northern entrance of Caminito del Rey, where the tour will start.
This Caminito del Rey excursion is the most comfortable and easy way to visit this unique site, whose construction began in 1901 and was completed in 1905. Alongside our guide, who is passionate about the history of this incredible place, you will learn about the surroundings' history and secrets, as well as the reasons that led to the construction of the walkways between the Los Gaitanes and Gaitanejo gorges.
For approximately 4 hours, you will walk about 4.8 kilometers from the northern entrance located in Ardales, passing through tunnels (be mindful of your head!) and enjoying the view of the Guadalhorce River Dam. You will descend through the famous "chocolate staircase." Don't forget to take a photo from the transparent balcony, where you can leave behind any vertigo and see the wonder of this iconic natural landscape from over 100 meters above, immersing yourself in the gorges until you reach the southern entrance located at the Chorro Dam. You will walk through pedestrian walkways that are almost 3 kilometers long and 1 meter wide.
After completing this incredible experience from heights of up to 105 meters, including the suspension bridge over the Gaitanes Gorge canyon, we will return the safety helmets and arrive at the southern entrance in El Chorro, where the bus will be waiting to take you back to the starting point in Malaga or the Costa del Sol.
