Prepare to stand and drink leisurely, tasting a fantastic parade of dishes and wines from various regions of Spain, which have always found their place in the melting pot that is Madrid.
By the end of the tour you will have learned the key to wine, gastronomy (some for the intrepid), enjoying anecdotes of 18th century Madrid as you stroll through its streets.
We will meet at the meeting point and head to the first stop while the guide discusses facts and anecdotes about Madrid.
First stop:
We'll go to a place that is as old in concept as it is rare these days (over 80 years in operation). The store that hides a bar, or the bar that hides in the back room. Where if you like what you drink or eat you can buy it.
There advised by the guide you will choose the drink and will taste 3 or 4 dishes of gastronomy.
We will leave the first tavern on the way to the second stop with a view of the streets of the barrio de la letras with comments from the guide.
Second stop:
In an old tavern we will approach the history of Madrid with ample slates of wines by the glass and the tapas of the day. Once again the guide will advise on the wines and order for you more portions to continue discovering the gastronomy.
Third stop:
A century-old tavern that has been in the same location for more than 100 years serving prawns and vermouth in addition to its own wine.
We depart from our current location heading to the next, the warmth of the wine and food will make the walk to the last tavern pleasant and enlivened with curiosities from the guide.
Last stop:
We arrive at another centenary tavern, which hides in its caves the secret of why Lorca or Pablo Neruda visited it. We will taste wines, some more dishes and some desserts to finish with a sweet taste.
After leaving the last place the tour is over, the food and drink will have filled you up and you will have completed the whole Madrilenian experience, the guide will be able to tell you where to go next.
This itinerary is an example, the taverns and bars change depending on the dates but all are of the highest quality standards and are places of Madrid life.

As early as the 12th century, the monks of Cluny were growing grapes on the banks of the Duero River to produce wine. The Ribera del Duero is in the heart of Castilla-León, the old land of castles. The subsoil of almost all the villages is practically hollow, with caves dug to store the wine, as they guarantee perfect conditions of humidity and temperature. Although many cellars have fallen into disuse, some have been recovered for visits or for wine production. Visiting an old wine cellar that has been in operation for centuries and drinking a glass of wine there is an unforgettable experience.
