We will meet 5 minutes before departure time at the meeting point, we will get in the minivan or mini bus and head to the first winery while the guide comments facts and anecdotes about the wine region of Madrid.
First winery:
The oldest winery in Madrid will be the first stop. There we will meet the owners and the guide will inform us about everything we need to know.
Second winery:
We arrive at another village in Madrid where we will visit a winery with centenary caves and wine making in jars. The guide and the winemakers will talk to us about the wine process and we will taste once again their wines.
Third winery:
A farmhouse on the edge of the village, a wine and oil production hacienda. Fifth generation of winemakers. Organic production.
While they explain the winemaking process we will taste their products.
Return to Madrid:
After the relaxed visit to the third winery, the return to Madrid begins. If it has not been done before and time permits, we will make a small scenic stop at the promontory of the castle of Chinchón. A small village nestled in the Sierra de Guadarrama was chosen in the mid-sixteenth century to house the Monastery of El Escorial, the greatest architectural legacy of Philip II. However, this building is only the best known attraction of what is possibly one of the most beautiful and interesting towns in Madrid: San Lorenzo de El Escorial, the dream paved with stories on which the powerful monarch erected his great refuge.

As early as the 12th century, the monks of Cluny were growing grapes on the banks of the Duero River to produce wine. The Ribera del Duero is in the heart of Castilla-León, the old land of castles. The subsoil of almost all the villages is practically hollow, with caves dug to store the wine, as they guarantee perfect conditions of humidity and temperature. Although many cellars have fallen into disuse, some have been recovered for visits or for wine production. Visiting an old wine cellar that has been in operation for centuries and drinking a glass of wine there is an unforgettable experience.
