Every corner of Madrid has a story to tell and the markets that have been supplying the city for almost a century.
Discover with our professional guide expert in gastronomy, a true signature cuisine, gourmet products and a vast culinary culture, today hidden in the renovated markets of San Miguel and La Cebada in the neighborhood of La Latina in Madrid.
The tour will start at San Miguel square, where we will move to La Latina, Cava Baja and Cuchilleros streets, most famous places for Tapeo'; there we will taste typical tapas of mushrooms or Padron peppers: Why some are spicy and others are not? accompanied by a beer or cider.
Near the first stop, the tour arrives at the San Miguel Market, to taste the famous Spanish omelette skewer accompanied by a cold beer. After the visit to the San Miguel Market, we will stroll through the Plaza Mayor and the Barrio de las Letras, where famous poets and artists spent the best years of their lives. Next to Huertas street, our stop is at an old but renovated bar (or "Casa de Comidas"), to taste some cheeks with mashed potatoes and drink a good wine, preferably red. The route continues walking through the Plaza de Santa Ana and the Teatro Español, many terraces in this area, and you will feel and become part of it.
After visiting Plaza Santa Ana, our guide will see you off, giving you instructions to find the Tablao, where you will enjoy an intimate flamenco show surrounded by the incredible atmosphere of the Tablao Flamenco, a hidden treasure in the center of Madrid. Enjoy your drink during the show
