Snorkeling in Cancun with Turtles, Reef, Underwater Statues, Shipwreck, and Cenote

Description of the experience

Before starting our activities, we will learn how to use the equipment correctly, swim with fins, breathe through the snorkel, defog the mask, and other useful tips that will make your experience much more enjoyable. The first stop will be at the El Meco coral reef, which is only 8-12 feet deep, with warm waters and few ocean currents. With plenty of corals and playful fish schools, you can enjoy the first encounter with turtles in this area!

We will continue our route by visiting the 'snorkel statues in Cancun.' We will explore 2 galleries: 'The Blessings' and 'Aquarium Family.' The creators of the underwater statues used a new technique and material to encourage coral growth (made with neutral pH cement, coral, algae, and algae that can grow). The statues also have holes, allowing marine life to colonize and feed on the coral.

Our secret spot to find sea turtles in Cancun comes next! 96-98% of the time, we have been able to see 1 to 5 turtles! We might also encounter manta rays.

We've saved the best for last! Explore a shipwreck filled with colorful corals and surrounded by countless fish. The shipwreck is resting on fine white sand, making you feel like you're swimming in a natural pool! We will also discover the wonderful cenotes that lie beneath the sea surface.

On the way back to the marina, after showering with fresh water and reviewing your photos, the van will be waiting to take you back to the hote
