An old commercial port, stories of colonial times and a rich architectural heritage are the keys to the free tour of Garachico. We will walk through the historic center of one of the most beautiful villages of Tenerife knowing all its secrets.

Description of the experience

We will start the walking tour through the historic center of this beautiful town in the north of Tenerife. Are you ready to get to know the old commercial capital of the island?

We will stroll through the cobblestone streets of Garachico while we reveal some really surprising facts about the past of this town. We will talk about the importance of its port back in the 16th century, we will remember how the eruption of the Trevejos volcano affected its people and we will discover why this town has been a source of inspiration for many poets.

We will walk through the historic center, declared of Tourist Interest for its rich heritage, contemplating old manor houses and buildings as emblematic as the castle of San Miguel, the church of Santa Ana or the convent of Santo Domingo.

As we walk, you will be struck by the colorful facades that we will see during the tour, every corner deserves to be photographed!
