On board an air-conditioned bus, we will make our first stop in beautiful Avila, one of the best preserved fortified cities in Spain. An accredited guide will take us through the old town to discover the impressive history of this town. We will see Romanesque churches, Gothic palaces and a fortified cathedral from the Middle Ages. We will also visit the walls of Avila, from where we will be able to imagine the countless stories that have been seen throughout the centuries and that earned the old city the recognition of World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
After some time exploring on our own, we will return to Segovia, where we will have an hour and a half of free time for lunch. Afterwards, and again with our guide, we will make a complete tour of the exterior of the Cathedral and walk through the old Jewish quarter to the Alcazar. There, a guided tour will make us marvel at this spectacular fortification. Did you know that its architecture inspired Walt Disney for one of his movies?
We will be back in the center of Madrid around 17:00h.

As early as the 12th century, the monks of Cluny were growing grapes on the banks of the Duero River to produce wine. The Ribera del Duero is in the heart of Castilla-León, the old land of castles. The subsoil of almost all the villages is practically hollow, with caves dug to store the wine, as they guarantee perfect conditions of humidity and temperature. Although many cellars have fallen into disuse, some have been recovered for visits or for wine production. Visiting an old wine cellar that has been in operation for centuries and drinking a glass of wine there is an unforgettable experience.
