Exciting journey to Las Coloradas aboard an all-terrain safari truck, providing you with the opportunity to explore the highlights of the National Park.
The lagoon system of salt production reveals itself as a perfect habitat for a variety of waterfowl, both resident and migratory. It meets the optimal conditions that these birds seek for shelter, feeding, reproduction, and nurturing, with the Caribbean pink flamingo being one of the most prominent species alongside ibises, herons, and other migratory birds.
Next, you will embark on an unforgettable tour in the heart of the country's largest salt flat. Throughout this journey, you will have the chance to witness the process of sea salt production through evaporation, the formation of salt crystals in the crystallization area, and their storage in an imposing mound that will make you feel like you're on the lunar surface. If your visit coincides with the harvest season, you can observe the specialized machinery collecting the salt.
We will continue our tour with a visit to the spectacular pink waters of Las Coloradas and conclude the day with a delicious meal in Río Lagartos.
