Montserrat with Cogwheel Train, Tapas and Wine

Did you go over an hour between tapas and glasses of wine last night? If you're not an early riser, this is one of our two delayed departure tours that combine Montserrat and our wine culture. God doesn't always help the early bird, so we've designed an experience that doesn't take up the whole day and with some tasty extras to add to our mix of history and wine!

Description of the experience

Your local English-speaking guide will be with you throughout the day as you are fascinated by the incredible scenery and history you will encounter both at the Monastery of Montserrat, as soon as you arrive, and in the wine-producing environment you will visit afterwards. To get to the first point we have included in this tour a ride on the panoramic rack railway that goes up from the foot of the mountain to the monastery. This will be the beginning of your guided tour, which will be followed, as is common on our tours, by some free time for you to discover Montserrat at your leisure (approx. 1 hour).

We love to combine the best historical sites around Barcelona with visits to local wineries and winegrowers in the area, always run by families with rich historical and cultural backgrounds in their tradition. And this is exactly what your second stop will consist of, where you will enjoy an exclusive welcome drink before your wine tasting. Your local guide will give you a pleasant introduction to the art of wine tasting, through three exclusive local wines and a selection of typical tapas
