We are in the Eixample area of Barcelona, which is the urban planning project of the architect Ildefons Cerdá to expand the living area of the city outside the medieval walls, which were demolished in the second half of the nineteenth century, and thus contribute to improving the health of the city. Paseo de Gracia is one of the main streets of Barcelona where in addition to stores of prestigious brands we can find modernist buildings. This fact is due to the fact that in the early nineteenth century Paseo de Gracia was consolidated as the main bourgeois residential center and thanks to this we can enjoy today works of renowned modernist architects such as Gaudí, Puig i Cadafalch, Domènech i Montaner or Sagnier.
During this tour we will have the opportunity to see two wonderful examples of domestic architecture of the architect Antoni Gaudí, always in context with the events of the time and in parallel to the works of other contemporary architects also of prestige.
At the end of the visit, the guide will give you the tickets to visit La Pedrera, Casa Batlló or both, depending on the option you have chosen.
