In this excursion we will go through the two itineraries of the Via Ferrata of Redován:
• The K2 initiation section: a simple itinerary suitable for all audiences. Of less difficulty, it links a vertical path with a horizontal path.
It begins with a climb through iron staples nailed to the stone wall, close enough together to be easy to overcome.
Next you'll have to cross a dizzying 25-meter-long bridge that will leave you suspended as you traverse a ravine from one side to the other. As if you did not have enough, then you have to overcome a ramp with handrails to access another bridge, this time in Tibetan style.
The Tibetan bridge of the Via ferrata of Redován will take you to the passage of the swings, the monkey bridge and a little more vertical path with iron clamps. Its duration is about an hour, and in case you give up you can always access a path that will allow you to return to safety.
• The K4 section, technical: If the first section has not been enough for you, you can continue the Via ferrata of Redován through the sports section.
This section has a much higher difficulty, this means that if you like obstacles, you will enjoy climbing this route.
The sport section of the Via ferrata of Redován starts by climbing a series of overhanging clamps that will take you to a sloping ledge with handrails, taking care to avoid falling rocks (as our friends and climbing partners can be found underneath).
Next you will climb more clamps until you reach a beautiful viewpoint at 60 meters above sea level. It is a good place to rest and take a photo or two, if you haven't already done so. Further on you will come across the challenging hinge pass, where you will enjoy an impressive walk at 90 meters high and separated two meters from the wall.
The inverted staircase is the next challenge you'll encounter, where you'll inevitably see the void below you to overcome. More clamps, hanging bridges of 40 meters in length and even a steep ramp will be waiting for you as the last obstacles to overcome the Via ferrata of Redován.
